What is FinterviewPrep and how does it work?
FinterviewPrep is a cutting-edge platform designed to connect individuals aspiring to break into or advance within the finance industry through peer-to-peer practice interviews. Here’s how it works:
  • Sign Up: Create your profile and specify your finance sector interests (e.g. investment banking or hedge fund analyst) and preferred language(s). You later have the option to add your experience level and education as well as a photo to your profile.
  • Schedule Sessions: Go to the meeting board and either accept an open invitation to practice or provide your own time slot open for others to accept.
  • Practice Interviews: Join the meeting room (Google Meet) via the link provided to you and your interview partner. Engage in mock interviews and complete with feedback sessions.
  • Access Resources: Utilize our extensive library of interview tips and educational materials tailored to the finance industry.

How do I find a practice partner that matches my needs?
There are two ways to find a practice partner:
  • Go to the meeting board and accept one of the open meeting invitations
  • Post your own meeting invite to the meeting board and wait for someone to accept it. Remember to post meetings in advance so others get an opportunity to plan for it.
Whether you’re preparing for investment banking, equity research, hedge funds, trading, or any other finance role, we’ve got you covered. While you can leave it up to your practice partner to choose questions, you can use the chat function in advance to advise of tailored and relevant interview questions for your situation. You can practice any interview questions, from behavioral to technical from easy to challenging.
You can easily reschedule or cancel a session through your dashboard with at least 24 hours’ notice. If you need to cancel within 24 hours, we ask that you directly inform your practice partner to maintain courtesy and professionalism within the community. Any meetings cancelled less than 30 min prior will be counted as a no show.
What is your refund policy?
We offer a satisfaction guarantee with a 30-day refund policy for our subscription services. If you’re not satisfied with your FinterviewPrep experience, please contact us within the first 30 days of your subscription for a full refund.
Our website is brand new. While we have done our best to minimize errors and bugs, we kindly ask for your feedback and patience. For any technical issues, please reach out to our support team at finterviewprep@gmail.com. We are committed to resolving your issues promptly and efficiently, ensuring a seamless experience on our platform.
We regret that some interview partners are less reliable than others. We track no shows automatically and there is no need to report them, however if you like to talk to someone nonetheless, please contact us at finterviewprep@gmail.com. Every no show impacts the candidate’s reliability score which is publicly visible on the meeting board. You minimize the risk of no shows by prioritizing meetings with candidates with a high reliability score.
How do you use and protect my information?
We never sell your data. Your privacy and security are our top priorities. We employ advanced encryption and security measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access. We use summarized, anonymous data in statistical measures to improve the platform and prevent bugs.
